Joe Mando, M.S., LSS
- Executive Healthcare Quality & Accreditation Consultant
“Accreditation shouldn't be a scramble every few years — it should be how an organization already operates.”
For more than two decades, Joe Mando has helped public health departments, health systems, and safety-net networks move from reactive compliance to permanent readiness and continuous quality improvement. He partners directly with executive leadership, guiding organizations through PHAB and NCQA accreditation, value-based care performance, and global health program design, to build high-reliability systems where accreditation, quality improvement, and health equity become part of everyday operations.

A Service Line and a Lens Applied to Every Engagement
“Accreditation, quality improvement, and global health work all exist to close gaps, in access, in outcomes, and in trust.”
Health equity can be pursued as a focused engagement or integrated into broader accreditation, quality improvement, performance, and global health work. Joe brings experience using performance intelligence to identify disparities in health, service, and program outcomes; understand where gaps exist and whom they affect; and facilitate targeted interventions designed to close those gaps.
As a standalone service line, AccrediQI helps organizations examine disparities, understand their underlying drivers, engage affected populations, establish measurable equity priorities, and design improvement strategies responsive to the communities they serve.
As a cross-cutting lens, equity is incorporated into the way readiness assessments, quality improvement initiatives, performance analyses, strategic plans, and global health programs are designed and implemented.
